Fog is basically just a cloud that has lost altitude. The humidity has reached more than 100%, and the water starts to appear as vapor. You will also find that every outdoor surface has a coating of moisture.
StromDisplay.org define fog as a cloud at the earth's surface. Technical definition of fog Technically, fog is a suspension of small water droplets in the air, reducing horizontal visibility at the earth's surface.
Fog forms
Fog forms when the air near the ground becomes saturated and condensation occurs on tiny particles suspended in the air.
Fog forms in stable air with light winds, high relative humidity and conditions which bring the air to its dew point.
There are basically three ways to bring the air to its *dew point:
- by cooling the air
- by evaporating water in to the air and
- by mixing of air parcels.
*dew point - The temperature at which water vapor condenses to a liquid.
According to wikipedia the different between fog and mist are only in its density (Fog is thick, mist is light)
- Fog : reduces visibility to less than 1 km
- Mist : reduces visibility to less than 2 km
Meanwhile the different between cloud and fog :
Fog - at the earth's surface
clouds - are above the surface
Ground fog is created when the land cools after sunset when the area has calm weather and clear skies.
fog evaporates because it is water particles in the air and water evaporates at a certain boiling point so if it is too hot the fog would evaporate and vanish into the air or just evaporate till it reaches the point in the atmosphere where it is cold enough to be a fog or it could completely evaporate.
Fog is a suspension of tiny liquid water droplets. When the sun comes out, the heat from the sun's rays evaporates the water into invisible water vapor that rises into the atmosphere, hence the fog "disappears".
It doesn't always... it depends on whether there's enough heat from the sun reaching the ground. Fog - is simply water vapour that's condensed into droplets. If the ground stays cold, the fog will not dissipate.
Fog happens when a cold mass of air meets a warmer, more humid mass of air.
The Sun heats it.
Because the water droplets vaporize.
Dew appears on grass in the early morning hours. It goes away after the sun is up because the heat of the sun causes the water to evaporate.
because all the infored cooling is gone
The fog is produced the same way as the clouds. Just like the clouds, the fog is made up of the condensed water droplets which are as a result of the air being cooled up to a certain point called the dew point.
The warmth of the sun causes convection moving the air and the fog upwards at the same time causing the mist to spread and disapear.
Bread Tide Temperature Balloon Balloon Flag Smoke Prices Heat rises.
The Sun heats it.
Fog rises when sunlight warms the air enough to bring up the temperature of air and fog cloud. Sun also lowers the condensation saturation. The fog does not clear, but the entire fog-cloud rises and goes on to just be a cloud in the sky.
'clear' As in: they were waiting for the fog to disappear. or they were waiting for the fog to clear.
it depends
Dew appears on grass in the early morning hours. It goes away after the sun is up because the heat of the sun causes the water to evaporate.
The Sun rises IN the East.
Well I think it is because sometimes its really cold in the night and in the day the sun is out so u can't see fog I might be wrong I got this from the top of my head
The sun rises in the
Fog machines mimic what happens in nature. It needs sustained cool air and saturated moisture and a fan to blow the cloud outward. Because of temperature in the cloud and the room, the fog hugs the floor. To make it go away, they turn off the machine and let the room temp begin to warm the fog, decease the moisture, and make the fog "lighter". It rises. As it rises, it becomes warmer, until there is no evidence of fog or "cloud". If outside, the fog density rises into the sky where it just behaves like any other cloud.
