Most people get involved in theatre because they like the creative expression theatre offers. You become a unique storyteller that gets to comment on life, ideas, and culture through art. Theatre also allows for many types of expression: performance, design, writing, construction, music, etc. It's a collaborative art and one that can directly influence and interact with an audience as well. It's live, it's organic, and if you enjoy the process it is massive fun! It can be political, for fun, comedic, dramatic, almost anything you want it to be.

∙ 12y agoYou do theater to entertain an audience. The applause is the main reason for being a in a play, though. I personally do theater to make people laugh, cry, and actually believe you are that person on stage. Making someone think you are the character on stage makes you have this feeling you've never had before. It makes you want to go back on stage again. Theater is a great thing to do if you are short on friends because you really get to know the other actors and actresses on stage with you.
