Why does Answers drive off their readers with obnoxious blaring adds that are hard to track down and often cannot be turned off I will never be back on this site?

Registered members have the ability to turn off adverts in their account settings. Amongst other useful and extra tools.
The ads associated with various articles on Answers provide additional information related to the article on the page being viewed and as such add value to the reader's experience. Answers.com provides valuable information to millions of readers at no cost. By contrast, many internet sites have paywalls that prevent internet users from accessing the site without paying a costly subscription fee. Most intelligent people understand that without advertising revenues they would not be able to enjoy free access to many valuable resources on the web.
