Why does Dolly Parton wear a wig for?

Dolly has said many times that the reason she wears wigs is because she can't get her hair to stand up and do the things that she wants it to do under the intense lime lights. Also, she changes her hair style so much that it is more of a time saver to have someone do her wig and then just throw it on and hit the stage.

She likes the big hairdos and she would rather wear the wigs than her real hair. She has worn wigs since she was very young because she loves them so much. She has them custom made. She is not bald though.

Dolly's hair is baby fine and very hard to style. Wigs are easier to style since they're synthetic and easier to travel with.
