H2O has high values for its specific heat and boiling point because it is made up of hydrogen bonds. Hydrogen bonds are the strongest type of intermolecular forces. Hydrogen bonds occur whenever hydrogen bonds with fluorine, oxygen, or nitrogen. Since they are the strongest type of bonds, it takes much more energy to break apart the molecules, which is what needs to happen for something to boil.
When it starts to get hot
212 degrees Fahrenheit
Water has much higher specific heat than lead. All metals have fairly low specific heat values.
D. low freezing point
specific heat of basalt is 0,2

That is how specific heat is defined. When you measure something you have to measure it relative to some point of reference. In specific heat it was agreed upon that water was to be the standard and its specific heat would be one. Therefore everything else is measured relative to water.
The boiling point/break down point of lubricating oil to be 300-370 degrees Celsius
The specific heat of water when it comes to a boiling point is 100 degrees Celcius, or 212 degrees Fahrenheit. The boiling temperature can vary based on the vapor pressure of the atmosphere.
Specific heat, density, and melting/boiling point.
The heat needed to melt one gram of a solid at its melting point is the heat of fusion.
