She becomes insane, shown by sleep walking and hallucinations she goes to her bed. She is later found dead. The audience is expected to believe she has killed herself even though she not commit suicide on stage.

however in the film we see lady Macbeth jump off the tower out of her window and dies on the floor...we are to assume as an audience that she has gone mad and she does have conscience after all...she is not a bad woman

All we hear is "The queen, my lord, is dead." There is no explanation given at this time. At the end of the play Malcolm spreads a bit of gossip that she had committed suicide, but he was in no position to know this and may be just making it up to make her seem worse than she was. Exactly how she died is not at all clear, so it is up to the director whether or not to give the audience some clue (such as having her body paraded across the stage with a dagger stuck in her chest).

The play is not clear about how Lady Macbeth dies. Indeed we only have Malcolm's word for it that she killed herself at all, and he could be misinformed or lying to make her reputation even worse than it was.

Who would you say is the more forceful character Macbeth or lady Macbeth?

Lady Macbeth is the more forceful, probably because she is less foresighted. Macbeth knows the likely consequences of his acts, but she does not. She cannot imagine the downside to the murder; all she sees is herself as the chatelaine, hosting dinner parties. This lack of foresight gives her the strength to use everything she's got to persuade Macbeth to the murder.
