your transmission is going out
It depends on how long you are idling, or how fast you are going. If you know you are going to be idling for a long time, it's best just to put your car in park.
Idle speed too high.
hun you arent gonna choke on your cause i felt like that[: Emilee(;
You need to take you car to a mechanic. It is obvious you do not know what you are doing. Your battery is in the electrical system. Your choke is in the fuel system. They are separate. It is normal to pull out your choke to start your engine. It is not normal to have your choke out to run your engine. As soon as your engine starts, you should push your choke in. When you pull out your choke, you close the air going into your carb. Then you push in the choke to allow air to flow through your carb. That lets you speed up or slow down. If it won't run with the choke pushed in, try pushing the choke in slower.
you probably didnt have it engaged properly. that's happened to me on my friends bronco.
i accidentally hit the button sometimes and dont know it til i am going. a few times i have gotten into 4low because i hit the button and as i was switching to drive, i passed neutral and it jumped. my 95 you had to hesitate on neutral.
Depends on if your shifting from 4 Hi or 4 Low to 2 wheel drive. If going from 4 Hi to 2 Hi you can shift it while moving, if going from 4 Low to 2 Hi, you must stop and put it in neutral.
If it has an automatic transmission and it doesn't have a transfer case which can be put into a neutral position, the most likely answer is going to be yes.
will drive: I will drive to work tomorrow.
DONT DRIVE HER! I did...and she dropped a driveshaft. Tow her to a trusted shop and have them check out the drivetrain. Good news is your engine should be a solid s.o.b!
check your transmission fluid. if it is not low, when is the last time you changed your filter.
