If waste is allowed to remain there too long, it will become too dried out.
Relief measures include adequate hydration, and including fibre in your diet. Fruit is a petty good source of fibre. And cereals are excellent also. The fibre is pretty inert as far as digestion is concerned, but it does absorb water, thus making things more fluid, or soft.

∙ 12y agoSimply put, you may have a hemmorhoid. The cure is rather simple. More fiber in your diet, more fluids, and in some cases (I'm not saying yours is the case, but in some cases) cleanliness is close to painlessness. When possible, have a shower or a bath after a bowel movement. When it's not possible to have said shower or bath, I might suggest carrying Wet Ones or some other kind of wipe to clean up with. They come in travel sizes, so there's no worry about discretion.
In other cases, I might suggest a topical analgesic (such as Preparation-H, cream works wonders, as the ointment is rather on the greasy side). Doesn't matter if it's a store brand or brand name, they all have the same ingredients.
