The sun does not rotate around the sun. It does rotate on its axis, which is the result of angular momentum left over from the original gas cloud from which the sun condensed, billions of years ago.

if the sun were to rotate around the earth, earth would be in the same season at the same time. As earth rotates around the sun so do the other planets. something nearly as big as the sun wouldn't move so fast

2nd Answer:

The Sun DOES orbit Earth, and Earth orbits the Sun, but since the Sun is gigantic with respect to Earth, you only notice Earth's orbit. The Sun's orbit around Earth is so tiny that it can only be measured with sensitive instruments.

The sun does not revolve around the earth as was believed a long time ago. Now, with better telescopes, we know the earth, along with all the other planets in our solar system, revolve around the sun. The gravitational force of the sun pulls the planets to it and keeps them in an orbit, and the rotational force of the planets keep them from slamming into the sun. The balance from the forces of gravity from the sun and the rotational force of earth keep the earth revolving around the sun.

As Einstein pointed out, all motion is relative, so it is perfectly true to say that the sun does revolve around the earth. However, the simplest mathematical model (in terms of the equations of motion) has the earth and the sun mutually rotating around a point that, due to the huge difference in masses of the sun and earth, is almost exactly at the centre of mass of the sun, so that it appears that the earth revolves around the sun.

The Sun does not revolve around the Earth.

The Sun and the Earth both revolve around the center of gravity of the solar system as a whole, which, since the Sun represents nearly all (about 99.9 %) of the mass of the Solar System, is located deep within the Sun itself.

They are caught in the gravitational pull of the sun. They dont crash into the sun since they have an orbital velocity.
