Why is Christian faith Christ Centered?
There are many scriptures that answer that question. Here are a few. John 17:3, John 3:16, Philippians 2:5-11. Philippians 2:9,10 reads "For this very reason also God exal…ted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name, so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground."
How can you be a witness to your faith in Jesus Christ? Like the account in John 9 of the man born blind, you can only witness of what you know. So, the best thing is to …know what Jesus has done for you both generally in saving you and what He has done to change your life from whatever it was before. You can talk about what Jesus has done for many people other than yourself but the best witness and testimony is what He has done for you personally. Apart from verses dealing with salvation itself, it is good to have detailed knowledge of what scriptures are important to you and what they mean, as well as any that may relate to any person you are trying to witness to. In any case the Bible is the 'sword of the Spirit' and so it is essential in this area where people may be turning from darkness to light, as well as for your Christian walk generally. This cannot be stressed enough, since many people have the idea that they can 'invent their own religion' which may or may not be pleasing to God. Knowing God's word and knowing you are talking and living in accord with God's truth and not your own gives the assurance that what you are saying and doing in life and then in witnessing is pleasing to Him. This brings up another area - witnessing by your life. If you are grumpy and difficult to get along with, or some other problem, people will be much less inclined to hear anything you say. Be kind. Listen to others. Anything you know Jesus would have you do - people do watch, even if they don't say much and they know if you are 'for real' as a Christian or just a fake and this will come out whenever you witness to people who know you. Important in all of this is the guidance of the Holy Spirit who can put wise words in your mouth if you are walking in touch with God and avoiding all known sin - the Spirit is expressly grieved by sin and disobedience in believers. Together with this comes the importance of prayer, both for yourself that you be a good witness and also for those to whom you may speak both by your life and by your words. Together with mention of the guidance of the Holy Spirit comes the simple matter of wisdom and consideration for others. God will certainly give opportunities, many times over, if you are ready and willing. But it can be counterproductive to impose on people whose hearts are closed to truth. Allow God to prepare the ground and be sensitive to where people are.
There was no organization before Christ, so there was no name for them. While there were many Jews that became Christians, there were also others that had no religion. The wo…rd 'Christian' originated out of the word 'Christ' , so before Christ there were either Gentiles or Jews. Answer: The Jews first referred to Christians as "The Way" but this was after Christ began to teach.
Burton L. Mack sees the earliest forms of Christianity as consisting of two quite different schools, which he calls the "Jesus Movement" and the "Christ Cult". He says tha…t the Jesus Movement arose around a holy preacher who lived in Palestine in the early part of the first century and taught moral truths, but was not divine and was not necessarily crucified. The Christ Cult arose in northern Syria and spread quickly into Asia minor, based on a spiritual, rather than human understanding of Jesus. On this hypothesis, Paul must have been a follower of the Christ cult, while the gospels were written from within the Jesus movement after it began to assimilate much of the teachings of the Christ Cult. Others say that the Christ Cult is older than the Jesus Movement and that Jesus of Nazareth, if he existed, was assimilated into the Christ Cult, thereby developing the concept of Jesus as the Christ.
Christian Church Historian, Bruce Shelley wrote, " Christianity, is the only major Religion/Faith to have as it central event the humiliation of its God" Consider not only Jes…us' Humiliation and anguish in Matthew 27:45-54 where is speaks about his own disciples betraying him. Not only that, but his own people demanding his death. His friends Deserted him and on top of that, his own intimately loving fathers has turned away. The difference in Christian faith to me after reading Matthew 27 is that Jesus (the one and only God in human form on earth) Lived life as a human and went through everything a Christian on earth could possible go through such as loneliness sadness, betrayal, happiness, success admiration and the list goes on and on - and by Jesus doing and experiencing all of this, he wants to help up and he wants to be with us as his people and Gods creation! This for me is something that truly stands out to me about what makes Christianity such a loving and merciful Faith! - Hope that helped =)
It is believing that the one and only god, the three-in-one: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit died for you, to pay the ultimate sacrifice for you and your sin, and rose again, res…urrected from the dead!
Faith is the belief in something without evidence. Christianity is a monotheistic religion. It is also an Abrahamic religion.
You can't really say that Jesus Christ was a Christian since "Christian" means follower of Christ (literally it means Christ-like). He was more the Father of Christianity. The… faith itself is based completely on his life, teachings, death, and resurrection. Another Answer: Jesus was never a Christian, but remained a Jew throughout his life. The book Rabbi Jesus, by the Anglican priest (and founder of the Institute of Advanced Theology) Bruce Chilton, deals with this fact, and explains that Jesus remained loyal to his religion and was a respected teacher of Judaism in his era. Some scholars, such as John Dominic Crossan, in his The Birth of Christianity, have argued that Jesus's disciples became Christians as a result of their transformative experience of the Resurrection, but even Crossan doesn't allege that Jesus was a Christian. The Gospel-writers referred to Jesus as specifically a "rabbi" in Matthew 26:25&49; Mark 9:5, 11:21, 14:45; and John 1:38&49, 3:2, 4:31, 6:25, 9:2, 11:8, and 20:16. So, the Gospel-writers recognized that Jesus was not only a Jew but a "rabbi." Matthew 28:18-20 is the only non-Judaic thing that Jesus was alleged to have taught. If you copy what's in parentheses here ("The Authenticity of Matthew 28:19" "Online Truth") and paste it into a search box, you will see one of many arguments that the passage was added, not authentic. However, stronger evidence of this is that the earliest-written of the canonical Gospel accounts of Jesus, which was Mark, had no such passage: it ended in Mark 16:8. The earliest two manuscripts of Mark, both of which date from the 4th Century, both lack that passage, but someone later added, to Mark, 16:9-20. Consequently, all of the earliest-written evidence is consistent that Jesus never left the Jewish faith, and that he would be shocked and appalled that, in violation of the first three of the Ten Commandments, Christians are baptized in the name of this man whose disciples called him "Rabbi."
How will your personal faith and beliefs contribute to Libertyies mission to develop Christ centered leaders?
This can be done through educating our young leaders of the future about our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Faith of Christ simply means with God all things are possible in His righteousness and Holiness and in truth. And Faith in Christ means a trust you have in Him and set …in Him that His power can only be made perfect in your weakness. You are weak and He is the only one who can help you overcome the dark side of you which have been with you since the begining! Don't worry He will help you just as He has helped many others in their weaknesses! He power is made perfect in our weaknesses. Where no one that has ever come into this world could go, He went because of you and I. We were all dead spiritualy thinking God was refering to the physical death whereas there was nothing like physical death then and then in the past we were all afraid to die physically in order to repent through it but Jesus came and had His faith that with God all things are possible and it was indeed possible. It was all finished and now our Salvation can only be achieved by having faith in Him and we don't truly need to die physically again in order to repent but to all things of this world and regain ourselves (Transformation). You may only die for the sake of the Gospel. Thanks
Christian faith is faith in God. One day God will judge everybody dead or alive. Everybody will be guilty before God because they have turned away from God and deserve death…. Christians believe God sent His son Jesus to die in our place. If a person accepts this then he/she can be saved from God's judgment. Joh 3:16 For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life. Joh 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to be its judge, but to be its savior. Joh 3:18 Those who believe in the Son are not judged; but those who do not believe have already been judged, because they have not believed in God's only Son.
Because of the resurrection of Christ Jesus, Christian's have assurance of the resurrection of all persons-some to salvation; some to perdition. That is God's ultimate ans…wer to the problem of death. Easter is one of Christianity's oldest festivals, except for the weekly Sunday celebration. Celebrating Christ Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection was well established in most churches by A.D. 100.
In The Bible
The heart of Paul's teaching can be found in the book of Romans. People have turned away from God: Rom 1:25 who (mankind) exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worship…ed and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. Every body is guilty of turning away from God and will one day be judged: Rom 2:16 .................God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel. Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, God has made a way for people to enter a right relationship with God: Rom 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Rom 5:9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Faith in Christ is the way of salvation: Rom 5:10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. So salvation is through faith in Christ as a satisfactory sacrifice for sin
by following the commands of Jesus.
In the Eucharist, a person receives individual graces from Christ strengthening his or her relationship with God. At this time, the members of the church are united in Christ …through the Eucharist.
