I don't really know, but a long time ago it was created by man to explain the weird things that they couldn't explain, i.e. thunder and lightning (What Zeus did when he was angry), storms, mountains, etc., so I guess its not really essential for us to know, it just helped with the explaining to the "weird happenings" that they could not explain.
It is when some thing is not explainable in a sort of way so they create a myth to explain in a more convincing on how a event had happened so the others would believe you.

He is a god. Does not have a mother. Hera was his wifeWhoever wrote the above does NOT know their mythology!! Zeus' parents were the Titan Lord/Lordess Chronos(Kronos) and Rhea. Chronos heard of a prophecy that one of his children would overthrow him so he ate his children. But Rhea fed him a stone instead of Zeus. Zeus then grew up, slew his father, freeing his now-grown siblings from Chronos' stomach.First of all yes he did have a mother. You don't know your mythology because that's how the story is.STFU because unless your greek yourself i ain't gonna listen to you.And plus I've known greek mythology my whole life.........

The Greeks who believed all the greek mythology did not believe it was exaggerated; they believed it was true. So they did not believe it was exaggerated, and so, to them, it was not exaggerated. Now, for us, it is exaggerated because we know how certain things occur; that it's not all done by various gods and such.

The tales say that over millenniums of time rocks, planets, etc. crashed together creating the greek titaness Gaea. The dust shot up into the air making a male named Uranus. They populated children and named their race 'titans'. Kind of like the story in the bible 'Adam and Eve'Answer:The Greek scholar and grammarian, Apollodorus, created Greek Mythology. Though it was the Roman poet Ovid who created Roman Mythology and started off the characters that are now in Greek Mythology. (Greek and Roman Mythology are the same, but have a different telling of stories.)
There is no main character. Greek Mythology is the way that the Greek people explained things that they didn't know about. For instance when the sun rose and set they thought it was a chariot rising and going around the Earth. Of course now we know we are the ones going around the sun.
Now, it is the head of monsters, Echidna, and her son, Chimera.
The word 'now' has no Greek meaning, however, if you wanted to know how to say 'now' in Greek, that would be "tora".
If you mean Greek mythology I have a good answer. The Greek mythes teach a lesson, as well as are fun to read. The greek Gods were originally a religon that is still around is Greece, but now people like to learn about Greek mythology and hear the mythes for shear fun. As well as a religon, some things people in Greece did to teach kiddies a life lesson was to tell a story with Greek Gods and all kinds of weird mischeif.
