Why is its O3 why not O2?

oxygen as a ion is O22- so it only has two electrons to spare, wich means there isn't enough electrons to form a O3

O2 is more stable than O1 because oxygen is very reactive and willing to react with everything and anything including itself until it can find something else to react with.

O3 is Trioxyde, known comonly as Ozone. O2 is Monoxyde, found in water. They are made up of different amounts of atoms. Does this help?
