There is no reason that homeschooling as a whole should not be allowed. There are always individual cases of homeschooling that should be discontinued, such as the parent not actually educating or socializing the child, or if the child is being abused or neglected. Although, abuse and neglect can occur in any home rather a child attends public, private, or homeschool. In any case, the abuse should be investigated. Homeschooling done correctly in a healthy environment can be quite beneficial to the child.

Because when you homeschool your child, your child is not getting the opportunity to socialize with other children. Your child will not get the oportunity to see how other children their age acts and therefore they wouldn't grow up. If you plan on homeschooling your child you should take them to the park every other day and schedule play dates or something.

I am homeschooled, and if you ask me, the problem is that you never make any friends. Sure, I have a lot of time to become an amazing drawer, animator, piano player, book writer, comic drawer, song creator, movie maker, journal writer, blogger, question-answerer, and on and on... but no friends. However, at a real school, there are a lot of really bad influences, too.

Homeschooling is legal in all 50 states, and more than 2 million students are currently homeschooled, so there is no question anywhere of it being 'allowed.' Typical objections to the legitimacy of homeschooling include concerns about parents being qualified to homeschool, concerns for the student's socialization, or concerns that a student is not making good academic progress. A glance at a 2011 study of homeschooling (www.nheri.org) will reveal some interesting statistics:

1) The academic success of homeschool students does not differ substantially between those with college graduate parents and those with only high school graduate parents;

2) Homeschool students are better socialized than their schooled peers, based on such things as peer interaction, self-concept, leadership skills, and participation in community service;

3) Homeschool students typically outscore their schooled peers by 15-30 percentile points on standardized academic achievement tests.

Homeschool for a child is one of opportunities, but nowadays children are growing way faster and they are deciding what they want we want that or not, so if your child decided to go to kindergarten it is ok, and if you still want to homeschool her the links your provided are really helpful and you both will enjoy time together.

Doing away with homeschooling would be a bad idea. It is not for every student, but for some students it is a very good way to get an education.
