India is in the Northern Hemisphere. Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere. The Earth's axis has a 23.5 degree tilt. So on December 21st, the Southern Hemisphere is closest to the Sun, while the Northern Hemisphere is closest to the Sun on June 22nd.

It has to do with the tilt of the Earth. When the US is tilted away from the sun, Australia is tilted towards the sun, and vice versa. Thus, the seasons are reversed.

Christmas is celebrated in winter in India and summer in Australia because India is in the northern hemisphere, where it is winter, and Australia is in the southern hemisphere, where it is summer in December.

Because they are inopposite hemispheres, because of the tilt on the Earths axis as it moves around the sun (which takes a year) first the southern hemisphere is positioned most directly under the sun and then as it moves around eventually the northern hemisphere gets the same exposure. this repeats itself year after year add infinitum. if there was no tilt on the Earths axis there would be no seasons.

You are well known about the earths rotation's earth rotates in its axises and around the sun in an elliptical path, but according to me earth also rotates in a zic zac motion complete one zic zac round in a year by wich the earth north pole come close to the sun when at the same time the south pole is away from the sun this differance is much greater with each other.

By This why the countries falls in the southern himisphere have the oposite seasons compired to the northern hemisphere.

When it is summer in the northern hemisphere it is winter in the southern hemisphere, This is because the earth tilts. During summer the northern hemisphere is tilted towards the sun, so it receives more sunlight and is warmer. In summer the southern hemisphere is tilted towards the sun and the northern hemisphere is tilted away from the sun so it is winter in the northern hemisphere.

Its because of the tilt of the Earth's axis. During those months, the top end of the world is tilting away from the Sun (lookup "December Solstice"). Giving the bottom of the world (Australia) more heat (thus its Summer) and making the top End Colder/Winter). In June, the top end tilt is in reverse, so we get less heat Down under (its our winter) and the people at the top end enjoys their Summer.

India is in the Northern Hemisphere. When that half of the world is tilted towards the sun it is summer. At the same time, Australia, in the Southern Hemisphere, is tilted away from the sun, so there it is winter.
