Lets say you go 52 miles on a full tank of gas (which is a 8 gallon tank). The gas tank will lose a quarter tank of gas from the trip. So, 52 divided by 2 =26. The trek was both highway and city combined. The Hyundai Accent is getting 26 mpg, not 40, which was the reason Hyundai reimbursed purchasers of the Accent in the form of a debit card to make up the difference (look it up). Hyundai had misleading stickers on the windows in the showrooms about gas milage, and issued a formal apology. If you are so low on the totem pole in this world that you *have to* buy a Hyundai Accent, just buy a Golf cart (they are fully electric), or ride a bike. If you buy this piece of sh%t, you got ripped off by a shady car dealship. I had one for 2 years (still have one, and it is in the shop today with EVERYTHING wrong with it). Total piece of sh^t "car" if you want to call it that - it doesn't even have power windows!
posiable a bad fuel sending unit.
I have a 2002 Hyundai Accent. The transmission had to be completely rebuilt at 101,000 miles. Prior to that, I had already taken the car in twice for transmission problems.
Most likely your thermostat is bad. If you are not getting heat it is stuck open. If it sticks closed, your engine will overheat and be ruined. I would replace the thermostat A.S.A.P.
Try turning down the good intake. The moral adjuster unit may not be compensating properly.
Bad gas mileage can sometimes be attributed to a vehicle in need of a tune-up. Have your car serviced and see if that improves the gas mileage.
A way to tell if the Crankshaft Position has gone bad is if the engine has a strong kick (Turnover) but, does not fire or start.my 2000 Hyundai accent will not catch fire
Bad horn - see if it is getting power when switch is activated Bad switch Bad ground
Bad relay, bad switch, or a fault in the wiring. A slight chance that it could be the headlight assembly itself, although I'm a bit doubtful about it happening to both of them simultaneously.
Blown fuse, bad switch, defective blower motor, or bad HVAC resistor pack. Wet fish caught in fan blades??
The power brake booster is bad.
A blinking or flashing check engine light in any Hyundai is indicative of a misfire taking place. It could be due to a faulty ignition.coil, leaky ignition wires or bad or worn spark plugs.
Could be lots of things. How bad is bad? Should be getting 15+
