Thank you for the question. Well as far as I know from the documentary movie as The Silk Road, the soft sense of touch has a direct relationship with its ingredients including silk, tussah silk, silk cassava, etc. The silk is a concretionary fluid secreted by the silk glands in the body of silkworm, which is a natural protein fiber with complex components containing serine, lysine, Tianmen acid and other 18 kinds of amino acids. The molecular structure of these amino acids contains most hydrophilic groups, and silk fiber itself was porous structure, so silk has good moisture absorption (absorbing sweat) and releasing moisture function. It has a smooth sense of touch when worn on the body , also when in contact with the skin, you will feel soft and comfortable, thus it is known as one of the "second skin."--------Echo Jacqueline

soft, smooth, warm.
The simile "as soft as silk" means that something is very delicate, smooth, and gentle to the touch, similar to how silk fabric feels. It is used to convey a sense of luxuriousness and fine texture.
