When you boil pasta at one stage you end up blinking. During the time frame of this blink a super fast leprechaun comes along and takes a dump in your pasta. If you keep your eyes open for the whole time, you may even catch the leprechaun and you could thank him.

Some pasta is yellow. Some pasta has vegetables included that makes them pink, green, or orange. Whole wheat pasta is tan.
To colour pasta people use colouring food.
Because they have a genetical disorder in their nerves system that makes it that way, unfortunatly. :(
When they are coloured, it means that they have different flavouring in it instead of he original.
Pasta can be colored with artificial food coloring, or with "natural" ingredients such as beet juice, tomatoes, carrots, spinach and even squid ink.
It's just because people put dye in it to color it that way, or if it's brown and grainy it's whole wheat
From different types of vegetables.
You add food coloring to you pasta
The answer to all of this is, basically, "food coloring." In the case of pasta, this is often done with vegetable extracts; for example, orange pasta may be colored with carrot juice or squash/pumpkin. Black pasta is often colored with squid ink. Green pasta is generally colored with spinach juice. Purple pasta comes from beet juice.
The ones I know of are spinach and squid ink but I am sure there will be many others. I think a lot of commercial dried pasta is probably just coloured with food colouring though.
Depending on what you mean by your question, there are two different answers but fortunately both are positive! Firstly, Thyme would make a loveley addition to pasta especially if cooking an Italian style dish or creatig a sauce. It does go well with pasta. Lastly, if you wish to actually put the thyme IN the pasta it is perfectly fine. If making your own fresh pasta simply add some thymes to it before you shape it. The likes of coloured pasta are made in this way. Green pasta contains spinach, which is what gives it it's colour - so thyme should be easy to add to your pasta. ChloeDixon
