My lumina, 1999, 121,000 miles, keeps running hot, even after a new thermostat and a new water pump?
This could indicate a cracked head , or a blown head gasket. The superheated exhaust is entering the coolant chamber, and superheating the coolant. Check the oil for antifreeze, and the antifreeze for oil. Take off the raditor cap, and see if you get air shooting out of the cap hole! Look fo a loss of coolant.or white exhaust smoke, and the smell of burning anti-freeze! Last have a quilified service tech check it out.
