Everyone is born with the nature to sin. That is what happened at the fall of man(read Genesis 2). Sin entered the world when Adam and Eve first sinned.
Answer:
Before we become aware... or are taught... of God -- we are first and foremost flesh and blood, which is selfish [self-serving].
Human nature doesn't want to be told what to do. It doesn't want to hear that it's wrong. It rebels against authority, which tells us what to do... and that we're wrong.
It doesn't matter the source of that authority; whether it's God, civil authority... or parental. From the smallest toddler to the oldest adult -- we don't like it.
The natural mind of man isn't attuned to spiritual things... but to the physical, the "carnal" flesh and blood aspect of life.
Laws are "spiritual" things to which the carnal mind of man must be "broken to"... trained and made to obey.
"Because the carnal mind is enmity [hostile] against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But YE ARE NOT IN THE FLESH, BUT IN THE SPIRIT, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, HE IS NONE OF HIS." (Rom.8:7-9)
The flesh and blood, carnal [meat-head] mind of man has to undergo a "change" from selfish carnal mindedness, to a spiritual conversion by God.
People have to be "trained" [hopefully, by good parents, initially] to be obedient to the laws of man as well as the laws of God -- the breaking of which is what "SIN IS" [I John 3:4].
And only the Spirit of God dwelling within a person [a personal act of God] can teach and train a person, through faith, to want to please God. It's a spirit [an attitude] of willing obedience the opposite of selfish human nature, that leads to "obedient actions."
If... and until... God sets that Spirit into motion in people; then carnal minded, naturally selfish folks don't want God's... or anyone else's interference in their lives telling them what to do. Laws are broken [man's and God's], and sin and death results.
In the end, sin is "disobedience" and man's selfish rebellious Human Nature must be changed to the Loving, Caring, Obedient Divine Nature of God.
"Grace and Peace be multilplied unto you through the Knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord... through the Knowledge of Him that hath called us to Glory and Virtue: whereby are given unto us exceeding great and Precious Promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the DIVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." (II Peter 1:2-4)
There appears to be no reference of Isaiah having sinned against God in the KJV of the bible. We must remember that no man in without sin. Perhaps in his younger days there was possibly some minor infringement of some law.
YES!
The sin of commiting adultery is very bad against god , that includes divorce.
No, not at all. Sin, by definition is the willingness of a person to do something against the will of God.
Hating people is considered a sin. And Bavarians are people.
St. Augustine defined sin as "a word, deed, or desire in opposition to the eternal law." Thus sin, by definition is against Someone - God.
Christ was the first to absolve the sin or transgression of Adam and Eve, by taking upon himself all of mans sins. From that time forth all men who have sinned must truly repent not only before God but to whom that sin was committed against. The repentance must not just be by word alone but must be followed by good deeds with a promise not to sin again.
If the sin was against another person or persons, then your must confess that sin to them and ask for forgivness. Then you must confess your sin to God and aske His forgivness "...and go thy way and sin no more..." Confessing sins is good for the soul. It heals wounds and friendships are rekindled.
No church can forgive sin. No vicar, priest or whoever can forgive sin unless that sin was committed against that person. When one sins against God then only He can forgive.
Sin is sin as soon as that sin has been commited. As soon as one thinks of an impure thought, that person has sinned. There is not any time period before that sin is officially a sin. Ultimately, all sin is against God and since God is omnicient, he knows when all sin has been commited.
sin
Sin is any thought, word, action, or omission against the laws of God or some other deity.
