It is a moral concept. Is it right for doctors to play God and decide who lives and dies and when?
The doctors aren't playing god, the person is already dieing. Some people may say that curing a fatal illness is playing god, but that doesn't make keeping the patient alive illegal.
The real reasons agains euthanasia are really concerns about the abuse of minority groups and the disabled, insurance companies wanting the cheaper choice (euthanasia) and the "slippery slope" to llegalized murder.
The religious side is a concern, but not a valid one. If religious people had it their way many things that are considered patient choice would be illegal
