Well the main reason they say is to take the dirty sediment out of the pipes by flushing it. There is a article below on this called Dirty Water.
If the water is coming from the main, it should not be dirty. If it comes from the cold water storage tank in the loft, maybe it needs to be cleaned or covered.
The evaporator coil is very cold, which causes water to condense on it's surface, like how water condenses on a cold soda can. The water runs to a drain pan at the bottom of the coil and then flows outside your home via a drain pipe. If water is leaking around your furnace, you very likely have a clogged drain pipe or cracked drain pan and should have it fixed immediately. However, if you have a heat pump and you see water around the outdoor unit during the winter, this is normal.
Cold Water is best. Cold water will solidify grease quicker and prevent it from sticking to the inside of the drain pipe causing stoppages.
yes it is a conductor because today we can get hot water and cold water it can be dirty or clean.
Always use cold water when operating the disposer to solidify fatty & greasy waste so they will be chopped up & flushed down the drain. From The Friendly Plumber.com
Water will condense in the inside unit of the air conditioner. This is because the coils in the unit get cold (ad expected) and moisture in the air condenses on them like moisture on a cold glass. There should be a drain inside the unit to drain this water. Check that it isn't clogged.
The key word is "drain", meaning it works by gravity, so a drain value should be at the lowest point in the system. Typically there is one just past the meter. If a lawn irrigation system is a branch of the main system it should have its' own drain valve for winterizing it. You can purchase stop valves (or shutoff valves) with built-in drain or bleeder valves.
Cold water.
Hot water makes piping expands thus the drain becomes smallerl
cold water and water at night dont water when the sud is out

Drain the whole thing til there is no water in it you will need a wetdry vac then go in a scrub the walls with bleach then suck up all that dirty water after it is completely empty of all gunk then you can put fresh water in it
