Andrew Johnson is considered by most historians to be the worst President of the United States. He grossly miscalculated public policy perceptions and did not have a knack for peace making.
President Andrew Johnson vetoed the Freedmen's Bureau and the Civil Rights Bill because he disagreed with the draft written by Seward. He felt that these matters should not be acted upon while eleven states were not represented.
He was impeached in 1868, mainly because of his opposition to the Radicals Republicans Reconstruction's Plan, particularly against the Fourteenth Amendment.
he was bad.
no he was a bad president he invented the Indian removal act
no he signed the law for racial equality apart from that i dont think he did much
He started the Indian Removal Act and he did not want the 15th amendment to pass.
Andrew Johnson did not pick his cabinet. When he became President due to Lincoln's death, he immediately had a cabinet. In fact, Congress passed a law to make it illegal for him to remove them unless he got permission from Congress. The cabinet was not so bad in itself, but they did not respect Johnson and they were able to seize a great deal of power from the President making it impossible for his to rule effectively.
While Andrew Johnson was impeached because of his handling of his job as president, he was not convicted. He missed conviction by one vote in the US Senate. The senator said that he did not deserve to be convicted and that the charges were petty and meaningless.

Alaska was bought from Russia in 1867. Most called it Steward's Folly because they thought it was a bad idea. Some called it President Andrew Johnson's polar bear garden.
he was bad.
When Andrew Johnson was president, slavery almost came about again (in fact many historians consider Johnson the most racist president in history). Things really got bad when the Congress left for summer vacation. President Johnson started passing bogus plans that the Republicans of the Congress (who held majority at that time) didn"t approve of. The republicans decided to take advantage of Johnson by passing a law (sorry forget what it was called) that didn"t allow Johnson to fire anyone in his Cabinet without their authorization. He fired William Seward, the secretary of war, anyway, thus he got impeached.

Andrew Jackson was the first president to veto bills just because he believed they were bad for the country. The first six presidents used the veto only when they thought a bill violated the US Constitution.
He wasn't considered the worse. Actually, he was a man who had many connections in Congress, knew where the bodies were buried, and was very powerful in his way. He and Kennedy didn't like each other, but Johnson was very competent for his role. He held the country together in a very bad time and took to steps needed when they were required. He did get mired down in Vietnam, but he was the 3 president to be engaged in the problems there. He had to contend with the problem he inherited.
