According to The Bible, when Adam sinned, he passed sin and death on to all mankind (Genesis 3:19/Job 34:15/Romans 5:12/Ezekiel 18:4), so God's first prophecy addressed this at Genesis 3:15, saying that he would send someone who would rectify things. This promise was supported throughout the scriptures and eventually spelled-out in the Mosaic Law. Abraham was called "God's friend" (James 2:23/2 Chronicles 20:7) because of his obedience, trust and love for God(Genesis 22:16+17). Because of this, his descendants (the Israelites(Isaiah 41:8))would be blessed with the privilege of representing the God of the Universe, and providing a lineage for the coming Messiah.(Genesis 18:18/Galatians 3:14/2 Samuel 7:12-16/Romans 1:3/Luke 1:32)

The 'Law', of which Moses was the mediator(Exodus 20:19/Deuteronomy 5:5), was provided to 'make transgressions manifest' (Galatians 3:19) and to become a 'tutor leading to Christ'(Galatians 3:23-25). The Law 'made manifest' (or obvious)to the Israelites that, thanks to Adam, they sin every day inevitably, and that, to be pleasing to God, something more was needed(Hebrews 10:1-4). Something that would balance out the imperfection. Sin causes death(Romans 5:12/6:23), it 'costs something', and can only be atoned for by something very valuable. Blood. (Hebrews 9:19+20) Thus the animal sacrifices. These directed attention to the coming Messiah as the ultimate sacrifice, who would, by remaining faithful to God and 'pouring out his blood'(dying), fulfill and end the Mosaic Law covenant (Colossians 2:13+14). He would then begin a NEW covenant (Jeremiah 31:31+32/Hebrews 10:16/Luke 22:20), eventually open up the way to salvation for all faithful people on earth from all nations(Genesis 22:15-18/Acts 10:34+35)and bring a final end to sin and death for mankind(1 Corinthians 15:25+26)(Isaiah 33:24/25:8/Revelation 21:4)(Psalm 37:10,11,29/Matthew 5:5). The Israelites were designated to teach and obey this Law(Deuteronomy 6:4-9)(John 4:22/Romans 9:4) until it ended with Jesus' death(Colossians 2:13-14).

How are Mosaic Laws similar to the Ten Commandments?

The ten commandments are part of the Mosaic Law. The Mosaic Law was given by God, via Moses, specifically to the nation of Israel (Exodus 19; Leviticus 26:46; Romans 9:4). It was made up of three parts: the Ten Commandments, the ordinances, and the worship system, which included the priesthood, the tabernacle, the offerings, and the festivals (Exodus 20-40; Leviticus 1-7; 23).

What is the punishment for not paying tithe?

According to the Bible ancient Israel was commanded to tithe. Tithing was one of the commandments of the Mosaic Law (Law of Moses) which was the covenant (Old Testament) between ancient Israel and God.There were 613 commandments Israel had to follow. There were a series of curses and blessings associated with the Mosaic Law. If Israel kept all the commandments they would be blessed. If they didn't follow all the commandments of the Mosaic Law, they would be cursed. Thus, any "punishments" associated with not paying tithes ONLY apply to ancient Israel. There is no punishment for not paying tithes. God/Bible does not command or require Christians to pay tithes.Your Tithe Experthttp:/www.thetithinghoax.com
