The atomic bomb was used to revenge Japan from a surprise military strike conducted by the Imperial Japanese Navy against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on the morning of December 7, 1941 (December 8 in Japan). Two atomic bombs were used on Japan. The first was released over Hiroshima on August 6 1945 (the first ever atomic bomb used) and the second was released three days later over Nagasaki. The bombs were dropped from B-29 bomber aircraft.
The United States of America intended to bomb the capital of Japan, Tokyo, but due to the weather both the atomic bombs missed.
