Because the southern colonies have a good climate for growing tobbaco, especially Maryland.
It is always about making money.
Tobacco was a major source of economy, it great easy and survived harsh conditions. It was essentially a cash crop. It was the reason England wanted the Americans colonies so much.
I don't believe so the tobacco colonies were farther down south like in Virginia
There was a new wave of colonies founded after 1660 because New England had been so successful with its tobacco industry so the colonists wanted to expand their land so that they could plant more tobacco.
Tobacco was extremely important to Jamestown because it sold the best profit. It was very popular, and when England bought it from the colonies for a low price, England then sold it to the rest of Europe for an even higher price, making it the wealthiest country back then. But it also wasn't fair because the colonies were being cheated in a way from their mother country who sold the crop that they discovered for a really high price in Europe. So they weren't making enough money because of England! Sorry off topic, so tobacco made their mother country rich, rich, rich....:)
In the US Southern States where it became a major cash crop.
why was finding tobacco so important
Since the climate of the chesapeake colonies was so much like that of the middle colonies they had very good soil in the chesapeake colonies. Deciding to grow a lot of tobacco. Tobacco was the main crop though there was some shipbuilding and shipping to ship the tobacco to the other colonies and back to England.

Because the English went all over the world and spread their government ways to their colonies
They WERE English, so no difference.
The colonies were subject to he English crown so the crown appointed Governors as the King's representatives in the colonies
Only the southern states produced tobacco.
When the colonies were first founded, the settlers were English, so they talked with an English accent.
The colonies wanted slave so they could get rich by planting tobacco, they also wanted gold so the could be rich or in other words they wanted money.Randomdude172
