They wanted to live comfortably in the after life. You will find furniture, Board Games, shabti (servants made out of ceramics or clay), and in some cases, food. Jewelry was also common.

∙ 14y agoThe Egyptians believed that you would take all your worldly possessions with you to the afterlife. They were therefore often buried with treasure and even loved ones and slaves (who were killed in order to be entombed), so that they could know the same luxury in their afterlife as they did in their earthly lives. They even believed they could take their pet cats with them!!!
