Best Answer

The most reported example of this was during The Blitz, the German bombings of Britain and Northern Ireland, when the children were sent to the countryside, where it was much safer than in the cities. There were many examples of this, all over Europe, including targets of the Israelite Holocaust, that were, by comparison, under reported.

IN World War 2 children were evacuated (taken away) from the cities, so they didn't get bombed. it was safe for the children in the countryside, and their parents would pick them up at the end of the war.

Because if they stayed in the cities, they would have been killed by invaders, Children were likely considered more vulnerable, and adults were required to run the city.

because they thought that it was safer to be sent to somewhere like Scotland or Wales because it was not as likely to be bombed. they also wanted to protect the future generation.
