You could not stand on a gas planet, you would sink into it further and further until you reached a point where the increasing thickness of the surrounding gas would be of a similar density to your body. Your body would probably break up before this point though. You would also be long dead by this point, so wouldnt be able to stand anyway.

Because none of the gas giant planets actually have a "surface" that you could stand on.

For Jupiter, if there WERE a surface, you would feel like you weighed about 2 and a half times what you were used to; like a 200 pound man carrying a 300 pound weight on his shoulders. Some men CAN do that, so it isn't just the weight and gravity.

But for the other gas giant planets, the gravity wouldn't be a major factor. It would be the fact that the planet is mostly gas, and it would be like trying to stand on a cloud.

Walking on Mars is not a problem. It's getting there. A voyage to Mars would take a minimum of eight months each way and the crew would likely have to stay there a while. We currently cannot make a space mission that long, especially since we could not resupply them with food or water, or repairs.
