What would you like to do?
If the engine is not spinning over and you have power to lights it most likely has a blown fuse in the fuse block under the hood. a 20 amp yellow fuse near the battery positive terminal. usually replacing the starter takes care of this intermittent problem.

How do you fix a passenger seat that won't move forward or backwards on a 1999 Chrysler Sebring JXI?
Answer ? This is for the manual passenger seat only! This area is hard to see/discover with the seat installed. I used a mirror and looking under the back… of the seat/bottom you can see a 'Flipper'(one right and one left actually), it's easy to see how they move while operating the bar in the front. These 'Flippers' have 3 short rods per track that they pull toward the middle line of the seat. I say they look like nails since in any position at least one(1)of them will not be all the way down and will stick up looking like a nailhead, but the other two will(usually) be down. I have found that these Flippers get bent out of shape and cannot retract these "nails" all the way toward the centerline of the seat. Rebend these flippers so that they can fully retract the nails. If you are just trying to get the seat to move so you can get it out of the car, looking under the back of the seat, locate these flippers and pry them so that they draw/pull all of their(3)nailheads toward the centerline of the seat. When all three nailheads on each side are equal "height" the seat should be moveable. Now if I could only figure out why the seatbelts are fully retracted into the seat and won't release! But I'm betting I'll figure this one out this morning! I think an application of voltage(car battery) to the orange and the black wire is the cure. We shall see!(cue: evil laugh)"MUUAHA-HA-HA-HA-HA!"
1997 Sebring JXI 6-cylinder Air conditioner won't turn on compressor is good Is there a AC fan blower relay switch?
LOOK ON THE HIGH PRESSURE LINE. THERE IS A SWITCH SCREWED INTO IT. THERE IS A PRESSURE VALVE ON THE LINE THAT KEEPS ALL OF YOUR REFRIGERANT FROM LEAKING OUT. I REPLACED …MINE WITH ONE OUT OF A JUNKYARD OFF OF A CIRRUS..COST $2 DEALER QUOTED ME $300. I ALSO REPLACED THE PIGTAIL OFF OF THE WIRING HARNESS. CONNECTOR ENDED UP BEING MY PROBLEM. TOTAL TIME INVOLVED 10 MIN. TOOLS NEEDED---SMALL CRESCENT WRENCH WIRE STRIPPERS AND WIRE CONNECTORS.
What is wrong with a Chrysler Sebring jxi convertible v6 if the odometer and tachometer only work periodically the lights on the clockradio also dim and the driver's side window has no power?
Answer For the odometer/tachometer question the answer is in a solder that has come apart. I had the same problem. You have to take the instrument panel out to get at t…he control board in behind. There are two large blue resistors that surround a soldered connection. I had to solder this on both sides of the board. On the third try I had to disconnect one of the blue resistors to get at the connection. Third time was a charm as the tachometer and odometer have worked since.
Removing the taillights To access the taillights one needs remove the taillights cover. To do this open the trunk, in the trunk are three plastic bolts that hold the tailligh…ts cover on. To have easier access to these bolts pull the trunk fabric a little away from the bolts. Unscrew these, then from the outside of the car pull the taillights cover toward you. Once the taillights cover is dislodged from its spot in the body of the car. You should have full access to all the individual lamps once you do this.
I had one in a 1999 Sebring JXI. It would start flashing when the engine was hot and at idle. I removed the plug from the sensor and cleaned up the connections. It was g…ood for about 6 months, but then started up again. I found that it was better to use 5-30 weight oil and now it only flashes when the oil is dirty.
You have to push it twice within a second or so on either the remote or the button in the car. It can be frustrating to get the right timing with the remote. Inside butt…on works pretty well. Most of the time I end up using the key
Hmmm...that's very interesting. Did you try adding more gas to the tank? That just may be the solution.
I ran into a similar problem with my '96 sebring. There is no kill switch, but there are two methods that can stop the alarm. First, (and easiest) is that the alarm is keyed t…o the door locks, not the ignition. By using the key to unlock the driver's side door (even if it is already unlocked, lock and then unlock), the alarm should shut off. The second method is less smooth, but effective if you have a short and unlocking won't help. The fuse box is located in the engine compartment. Pop the hood, open the fuse box and pull the appropriate fuse and the alarm will stop. The fuse (at least on my '96) was on a non-critical system (I believe with the break lights) and I was able to drive it to the shop to get the short fixed.
blower motor resistor
well u could buy 1 on eBay or even in the junk yard i have a Chrysler sebring 98 and the amp blew so i just conected the speakers direct to the stereo it does not makes a big …diferense but i hope this anwer helps you..
If the Chrysler Sebring won't start after going through a puddle, the problem is probably that the starter relay switch got wet. This is not a common thing but if the star…ter relay was bad to begin with, moisture will make the problem worse. The starter relay is located on the starter.
The sensor is under the car on the back of the engine on the left side on the 2.4L. On the 2.5L it is on the top rear of the transmission bell housing.
The engine computer is the voltage regulator.
You need to have the trans computer checked for trouble codes. The car will not shift out of 2nd when the system detects a problem and sets a code.
The automatic transmission does not have a drain. You remove thepan to drain.
If the old part had failed, yes.
It is the middle cylinder on the rear head.
