Since it takes more preasure to apply the reverse band, the pump probably has low preasure caused by worn bushings requiring a rebuild.
Probably the electronics going bad.
Apperently there are no fuses for the reverse light. First check the wiring that goes down the trunk. The wire tend to split due to the trunk going up and down.

It sounds like your trainsmission is going bad. something inside the trains- mission. also could be trainsmission vacume line to modual. .
