because shes insecure about herself. and doesn't think shes beautiful. maybe don't say it to her. but show her. buy her a nice outfit. buy her a spa certificate and set up a shoot. get beautiful pictures of her that she doesn't know about.... then a few years or months later. make and album or picture frame with that pic or those pics. she will be thankful. :) Sounds like she maybe has an anger management problem. Maybe Bipolar disorder. Maybe she is just REALLY bad at accepting compliments. Or maybe she has some bad association with the word "beautiful". Try calling her another name, i.e. sexy, gorgeous, hot, etc.
