THE US Marshal appointed for a particular district is unlikely to arrest someone themselves. It is a politically appointed position who is not required to have law enforcement experience. However, a DEPUTY US Marshal is likely to make arrests. They might arrest someone rather than a police officer if it is for a violation of federal law. For example, the US Marshall's service is responsible for federal prisoners and tracking down those who are wanted for federal crimes and those who escape federal custody.

a Deputy US Marshal might arrest someone if the person had a federal warrant, if the person fled the state jurisdiction in which they committed a state offense, or if the Deputy Marshal was assigned to a multijurisdictional task force of agents and officers who are charged with apprehending violent fugitives (Fugitive Investigation Strike Team, for example).

Marshmellows are just jail guards with a cute name.  So unless it has something to do with court,  jail or prison they are pretty much worthless agency.

Waste of money to the taxpayers. They love to create more positions to waste money. They should cut back on these "high level" positions and create positions that make more sense and at a way lower pay. I mean these are tax paying positions and by tax paying positions I mean that these are a public worker position and they should be paying that much as they depend on the public's money. It is like a being priest or a nun but you actually get paid for your job. So yes please review this and change it. If you want to make money go work for a corporation or self employment is best.

It is the same thing. They just needed to create a higher level for coolness. No one wants to be a police officer and what a waste to taxpayers. No one says anything. I guess people either love their money being wasted or certain group of people pay taxes and they are outnumbered and have no choice or think they have no other choice. You always have another choice you just don't want to go there.

What is the term for living on someone elses property without their knowledge.?

Trespasser is the term for this. This is illegal and you can be arrested for it. A police officer will not usually arrest someone the first time they are caught trespassing. But it is up to the police officer to arrest or not.

When is a person under arrest?

A person is "under arrest" when a police officer charges them with a crime and chooses to take them to the police station to be processed for it. For example, if someone commits a crime, they are technically under arrest when a police officer witnesses the crime or has a warrant for the arrest and tells the criminal "You are under arrest." Typical procedure after this is to put handcuffs on the criminal and read them their Miranda rights (you have the right to remain silent etc). Handcuffs alone do not mean arrest, but i'm pretty sure its illegal for a police officer to handcuff someone without grounds to arrest them. As a side note, the person doing the arrest does not have to be a sworn in police officer. In Citizen's arrest cases, anyone with arresting powers like a bounty hunter can also place someone under arrest.

Can i arrest a police man?

You could try a citizen's arrest but the police man may refuse to be arrested. It is only a warranted police officer that is empowered by society to forcibly arrest someone.

Is it against the Law to arrest somebody that's name is not on the warrant?

A warrant is not required for an arrest. If the officer has ample evidence that a crime has been committed and circumstances of immediacy pertain, they can arrest someone on the spot.

Can a police officer arrest someone for a misdermeanor not committed in his presence?

In some cases, yes. He can arrest on a misdemeanor arrest warrant. Officers are frequently obligated to make an arrest for domestic violence if they have probable cause to believe the domestic violence has occurred, even though they did not witness it. An officer can usually make an arrest in a traffic accident investigation, even though he did not witness the accident.
