  1. If you yell, "FIRE," in a crowded building, you could cause people to get hurt.
  2. If you yell, "Shooter!", at a gun show where many people could be carrying guns, you could cause a lot of people to get shot just from fear.
  3. If I post on social media that you stole from me, you are ruining my good name and reputation.
  4. If you call in a FAKE bomb report, you are inciting panic.
  5. If you call the police about a FAKE violent act, you could get some innocent person killed.

These are just a handful. They are all illegal acts in the US. You can be arrested, prosecuted, fined, and jailed.
