Why would your boyfriend give you the silent treatment after you tell him you went to an Italian church to meet men?

- Are you for real? If he had any sense he would have kicked your butt to the curb and not even remarked on what you just told him. Why on earth would you want to meet other men in an Italian Church if you love him? I'm really trying hard to understand your actions.
- It sounds like both of the previous answers were made under the assumption that you went to an Italian church to meet men 'while' you were with your current boyfriend and 'then' went home and told him about it. Pretty questionable behavior, if true. The other possibility is that you were recounting a 'past' experience to your current boyfriend and he took umbrage at your 'past' behavior. If this is the case (an eminently more reasonable scenario in my opinion), then, assuming he's not an overt racist, his reaction seems a bit curious. Perhaps you should talk to him about it and find out why he feels the way he does. Whatever his concern is (Italian men...churches...or?), giving someone the 'silent treatment' is not a very healthy way to express one's concerns in a relationship and you might want to talk to him about that, too.
