Coins only ever become valuable if enough people want them and are prepared to pay for them.

Irrespective of what country your Penny comes from, there were 10's of millions, 100's of millions, or perhaps even 1000's of millions of them minted. They are currently far from rare and they are worth 1 Penny in whatever currency you care to name.

Modern coins have a circulating life expectancy of 50 years or better.

Perhaps in 100 years when their quantities have thinned out, they may have a value greater than 1 Penny providing that they are in mint uncirculated condition.

In 200 years, they may become rarish and possibly have some collector value, especially if they are in mint uncirculated condition.

It is unlikely that anybody alive today, will realise any great value from todays circulating coins. Todays circulating coins are something you can put away for your grandchildren or great-grandchildren, as long as you keep them in mint condition.

how many pennies make up 100 dollars?

A penny is worth 1 cent. You will have to collect 100 pennies to equal a dollar. Since there are 100 pennies in one dollar, you can find out how many pennies are in 100 dollars by multiplying the 100 pennies by 100 as follows: 100 pennies x 100 = 10,000 pennies
