Yes. Same dimensions.
When you take the oil pan off of the motor you will see the crank shaft. The caps that hold the crank shaft in the block are held down with bolts. 2 bolts each is a 2 bold main. 4 bolts is a 4 bolt main
Yes.
No it wil not. You will have to remove the 2 bolt engine out of the truck and then replace it with the 4 bolt engine. 2 engines will not fit in one vehicle silly wrench puller.
On my 1.6L Elantra there is a hole in the inner fender that lines up with the crank shaft bolt. Remove the front tire. A half inch drive extension bar will fit right into the recess in the crank bolt. I used my impact wrench and a 1 foot long 1/2" drive extension and the bolt came right out. A 1/2" drive ratchet or breakover bar would work just as well. My problem now is I can't get the crank shaft timing belt gear off. It moves about 1/4" and then hangs up.
assuming you mean with the engine intact-code on side of block, code inside glovebox of original vehicle the engine came from.original crank pully will have a marking on it meaning 4 bolt main. not sure what the marking is but its different between 2 and 4 bolt mains.if you mean looking at the block with the heads off the caps holding down the crank have 4 bolts to hold each cap, a 2 bolt main has well...2.
no such thing as a 4 bolt flange only 2 bolt. you have a toliet with 4 bolts....the front 2 bolts just screw into the floor.....yes....just put in a regular 2 bolt toilet and ignore the other two holes in the floor.
The crank bolt is right thread on a 96 geo metro. bob.
2.100
If you havent found out yet ,they will not fit, the bolt pattern is different a 2006 rubi should fit .Bolt pattern is 5 on 4.5 ( 4 1/2 ).
Absolutely. The ONLY parts that aren't interchangeable between a 2 bolt and 4 bolt block are the main bearing caps themselves. The crank, rods, pistons, camshaft, oil pump, etc, are ALL interchangeable. So yes, the pistons will work just fine.
It will, if you believe it will
