there is no need to reset the computer for an 02 sensor.
how do you reset computer on a 2003 ford explorer after oil changes
It depends. If the sensor is working, just reset the computer. Otherwise you have to change the sensor.
If an Explorer engine oil change soon light stays on, the sensor needs replaced. The sensor may also need reset by holding the button down for five seconds.
I've been told that after the computer is reset that you have to drive 200 to 1000 miles before they link up and register.
There isn't a reset, either the sensor, wiring, etc. is bad.
It would help to know the sensor that needs resetting.
sometimes after making a repair or replacement, the computer needs to be reset by a mechanic
You need tto hold in the tachometer while its not running then turn the key to on still holding it.
start explorer press setup when it comes to engine check push RESET it says new oil push and hold reset it busses and it is reset until next oil change
asy
Because after you change a sensor you have to hook a OBD I or II to your computer's wire harness to clear the code. Or you can turn the backwards and then forwards and sometimes that will reset it. Either way changing the sensor won't reset the check engine light...U have to clear it thur your computer.
un hook the battery then rehook battery should reset if not then bad sensor some where
