Start by identifying the cause of the problem, then figuring out how to repair it is easy. It'll either in the power supply, the switch, or the wiring. Start diagnosing.
I believe the flashers are on a separate fuse than the blinkers, that is where I would first start to look, is the fuse box
They are just below the ignition starter key hole where you put in the keys to start the engine.
The signals and the emergency flashers have separate circuits, separate fuses, separate flasher relays. Start with checking the fuses, the bulbs, the signal flasher relay and wiring and if it still doesn't work it may be the signal switch is bad.
If your saying it dies and won't start for an hour or so then its might be your crankshaft positioning sensor. its what was wrong with mine.
I suggest that the cause may be related to the starter. Because, if the starter is staying engaged with the ring gear on the flwheel after you start the engine it will cause the starter to overheat, thus preventing the starters operation until it cools.
