Wireless connection on a apple laptop is rather easy. If you aready have a wireless access point near you, look at the taskbar on the top of the screen. On the right hand side of the screen, you will see a icon next to the bluetooth icon which appears to look like signal bars. Simply click on this icon and the macbook will list all the wireless hotspots available at your location. Next, pick the access point of your choice and it will present you wit ha password prompt if it's a secured hotspot. Enter the password and press ok. When you are connected to the internet, the wireless bars will appear turn black rather than appearing faded out.
Your options are buying wifi hotspot vouchers, buying a local sim, or roaming. But now the best way is by using a MiFi device which allows you to make your own personal portable wifi hotspot, which is really convenient when you're travelling. You can connect up to 5 devices to it, use skype, etc. Pretty cool I used MiFiClub when I travelled to the UK.
through wireless modem
how do i get my laptop to pickup my cisco wireless router while using ubuntu. my laptop will not show wireless connect
no
Wireless network adapter.
you just use another usb cable it maynot work though
If you have a router (connected to internet), and you get a laptop with wireless enabled you do not need anything else. You can connect your laptop to the router and have internet on your laptop.
about 10 meters
ok. first if its wireless you should be able to connect by wifi (wireless internet) but if ur not trying to connect via wireless is there an ethernet port on you laptop (it looks like a phone jack but its a little bigger)
Just get a wireless 802.11 adapter for the laptop to connect to the internet.
Yes, you can it's exactly what (wireless) routers were made for.
You have two basic options. 1.You can connect your laptop to your cable, fibre optic, or DSL modem or Ethernet port using an Ethernet cord. 2. You can connect your cable, fibre optic, or DSL modem or Ethernet port to a wireless router using a Ethernet cable. You then connect your laptop using wireless to your wireless router.
Either connect via a wireless network, connect through a 3G network or connect your laptop with an ethernet cable.
