Evidently it does because I've been taking it during rehab and my urinalysis keeps coming up with a barbiturate in it. I stopped taking it and my test on 5/14 came back clean. I don't know what's in it as far as a barb but that's what it comes up on my drug screen.
No, and it is benzodiazipine. It is a muscle relaxant, and is in a totally different drug classification. As long as you have a script (the original bottle, for instance), you should be fine, if anyone has questions. Generally, drug screens do not pick up things like that.
The doctors don't normally check for that - only opiates. Even if they do detect Zanaflex, it would not be an issue. No worries.
Will zanaflex test positive on a drug test
It would if they were testing for Zanaflex...
No. Zanaflex is not a benzodiazepine class medication.
No, it'll show up as an opiate.
Yes, It will show up as a benzodiazapam !
Xanaflex WILL show up as a benzo in some cases ona standard UA.....false positive. FACT
zanaflex(tizanidine) only comes in tablets and capsules
Yes it is chemically the same and will show up as benzo.
Yes a xanax is a benzodiazapam and will show up as a benzo on an oral swab drug test up to 3 to 4 days after ingestion.Usualy oral swabs test for:PCPOpiatesTHCBenzodiazapamsAmphetaminesCocain type of stuff
I think your confusion came from the "xana-" part of the name, but no don't worry. It's actually spelled Zanaflex, and contains tizanidine. While it is used as a muscle relaxant, it is not a benzo
At work, legally your good, it will not show up in less specified. They wouldn't get specific with something like Zanaflex. THEY WON'T if they did its not that big of a deal. For what it's worth my source is like 30 sites I don't want to list. I have to test tomorrow and spend time with that question. Have a good one.
Opana(Oxymorphon) is oxinated morphine just like dilladud(hydromorphon) is hydronated morphine. Both will show up as opiates on a drugscreen however it is my beliefe that doctors offices will know the difference. For example, if you were prescribed opana and were taking oxycodone along with it the doctors office would know once they've giving you the UA. Because they cannot see you if you're abusing your privlages. I know they can also test how much of your prescription you have taken. To make sure you're taking it like as prescribed
No, if used either of them they will both show up separately. One will not hide they other. They are two different drugs and BOTH are tested for on a drugscreen. Vicodin is a controlled pain med (opiate), you must have an Rx for, otherwise considered illegal as well. Also remember levels can be tested, taking more than prescribed is also a sign of drug abuse.
No. Tizanidine also known as zanaflex is a muscle relaxant. Benzodiazepines are Valium, Xanax or Ativan. Muscle relaxers would not show up on a drug test. If you hadn't intentionally taken a benzo and it showed up on a drug screening I would check with your doctor. Criminals have been known to secretly add benzos to unsuspecting young women's drinks...
Depends if they test for Benzodiazepines, if so than yes. It all depends on how long after you take it before it is out of your urine.
