You can purchase a mold test kit, follow the instructions and send it into a lab for species identification. That will tell you it is mold and what the type is, though chances are, you are seeing the tip of the iceburg if there is water leaking inside the walls. The problem still needs to be addressed and for that you will need a remediation company to remove the moldy materials, kill any remaining mold on non removeable structure, dry out the structure and stop the originating cause.
