Did you use a granular "shock" like HTH? Need to know about your water make up and chemistry history. Length of filtration time run.
Without a knowledge of your pool all I can do is generalize. Add more 12% liq. chlorine and adjust the pH to 7.6, extend the filter run time by at least 6 more hrs.

along with the above answer, if your pool isn't clearing up after shocking the correct amount, your filter is full. backwash it and continue filtering.

∙ 15y agowe had the "cloudy pool problem" for about 2 weeks this summer. We shocked it almost daily and found that the only way the cloudiness went away, was when ALL the chemicals were in balance. You have to check the PH and conditioner too. When you get it all right, the cloudiness will disappear. Good luck!!
