Sure what do you want to talk about
People with mental disorders frequently react differently to drugs than other people -- even others with the same problems. Thus, we cannot answer the question directly. Generally, it is not a good idea for people to self-medicate bipolar disorder. We suggest listening to your doctor if you truly want to recover.
Yes, although it's not something you want to necessarily mention on your interview. People with Bipolar Disorder can be doctors, teachers, lawyers, or whatever other career appeals to them.
You're asking about Bipolar Disorder ll. If you are seeing a psychiatrist or couselor and taking medications as prescribed, the prognosis is good. There are many well known people with high functioning Bipolar. But you must realize Bipolar is like diabetes, it's an illness you will have and need to treat all your life.
click chat, click on someone you want to suite chat with and click "suite chat"
borderline personality disorder Not by a longshot.....Borderline personality disorder is a personality disorder that involves the thought processes of the individual who has it. There is no chemical component and, although meds can control some symptoms, they cannot manage all as is the case with bipolar disorder. Borderline personality disorder is difficult to cope with because it can mimic any and all psychiatric disorders, including bipolar disorder...but also schizophrenia, sociopathic, psychopathic, depressed, etc. Typically, there are lies and manipulation involved. There is more self-mutilation (basically, self-mutilators are diagnosed with this) and other self- destructive behaviors. YES, they can have mood swings, but much faster and more often that ohse with bipolar disorder. I don't know who answered this, but they are WRONG. Want examples? Go look up famous people with each disorder. You'll see....good luck!
Dont steal
My mother has bipolar disorder and my dad is still with her but the thing is when she is sad just try your best to not pest her off.
Doubly polar; having two poles; as, a bipolar cell or corpuscle.
if your boyfriend has bipolar and doesn't want help you still might need to tell someone close to him or a parent to help but you also need to talk it through with him also and see what needs to be done
I didn't want to be bi polar either and did the very same thing and came crashing down like a rock dropped from a plane. Her finace is now very caring and certainly does not want the best for your friend. Someone needs to have a serious chat with that boy and a professional needs to be working with your friend. Life as a bi polar is so horribly difficult without having someone in your life that you love telling you that you don't need the medication. wow... I almost can't believe such an insensative act. Get him some information on Bi polar disorder and let him figure out for himself what his life with her will be like with her not taking her meds.... Not a pretty picture. google the disorder and give him the information and let him read what a dis-service he is doing to your friend. I'm sorry you are involved but you can not do anything unless she is a danger.
