If your husband is not sexually active for another reason apart from being physically disabled, then the underlying reason needs dealing with. He may feel inferior , even embarrassed, because of the low sperm count and lack of libido and mentioning it often will only make him more sensitive about it. Virility is a big issue for guys and can't be underestimated. Try to praise him in other areas that guys like to feel macho in! Possibly he is feeling like a failure although he wouldn't necessarily express that. Is there a possibility of attending the doctors together if not already done previously? I guess you meant that he wouldn't take the medication - not sure if that was a typo or not? You can add extra info if you wish.

There may be online information about his condition that he could look at in private and even support groups if he is interested. I don't know if he is open to these suggestions, but don't force the issue. Maybe the relationship as a whole could do with some work in order for communication to be better and for him to feel a little more sensitive to your feelings. In turn, be aware that he may be hurting too. Perhaps if the communication can be improved he would be more open to receiving treatment and to your suggestions.
