Depends how long you've been smoking. THC can be traced in your fat for up to several months for heavy smokers, only up to 10 days for light smokers. Depending on how long you've smoked, I'd say anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks is a good estimate of whether or not you'll pass.

∙ 14y agoIf you are overweight, it takes much longer for THC to drop to levels that are detected by the commonly used methods to test urine for THC. There IS a threshold that you must be over in order to "drop dirty". You see, THC is stored or binds its cells to lipid fatty cells, so if you have a higher body fat ratio, it will take longer to be "clean" enough to pass the test.
Thin people can past a urine analysis much sooner after stopping smoking marijuana because they have less fat to store the THC in. So 30-40 days for overweight people, 14-21 days for a thin person. You are out of luck if you expect to pass a urine test for cannabis less than 2 weeks after you've smoked. (without some chemical intervention such as products designed to assist you in passing tests by changing the composition of you urine)
