well did he put it back in? of course its not going to run with out a distributor..he probably didn't put it in right you have to put the engine to top dead center and face the number one spark plug terminal on the distributor it self to the number one piston.....i wont explain it cuz im too lazy but just look up how to put an engine on top dead center
