you need a fuel pressure tester to do it but i would check your o-rings on your fuel injectors first they could be old and starting to crack thus the smell of gas. but first check all fuel connection mak sure they are all tight.

The fuel pressure regulator on a 1999 Ford E150 Van is located near the carburetor in the engine compartment. It is to the right and in front of the carburetor.
Refrigerant is added to a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire by removing the safety cap on the low pressure cooling line at the rear of the engine compartment. The charging line is then hooked up and refrigerant added until the pressure reaches specified levels.
On a 1996 Ford Explorer , 4.0 liter OHV , V6 engine : If you look in the engine compartment from the passenger side , on top of the engine , approximately 1 to 1 and 1/2 inches to the left of the engine oil fill tube you will see the fuel pressure regulator ( if my memory is correct )

30-40 lbs with vacum attached to the pressure regulator. (driver's side engine compartment) and 40-50 lbs with vacum removed.

The 2001 Kia fuel pressure regulator can be found on the top of the engine. The fuel pressure regulator will be near the back of the engine.
It controls the fuel pressure supplied to the engine.
The fuel pressure regulator is located on the fuel rail of the engine. The regulator is placed at end of the fuel rail.
The 1994 Ford E150 voltage regulator can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The regulator will be on the passenger side of the firewall.
