I had this happen and it turned out to be 2 transmission lines that needed replaced that had holes in them. The leak was everywhere in the frame but didnt leak until the holes got big enough to where the fluid ran strait through. Transmission Fluid was getting low even after adding fluid.

The "Low Coolant Sensor" on a 1997 Pontiac Montana is located appro 6" below the radiator cap which is on the left as your facing the engine. The sensor measures the fluid level in the radiator itself and is prone to giving false alarms when it gets dirty.
