I guess must be you an automatic transmission. Dodge truck's are notorious for automatic tranmission problems. Usually very expensive transmission problems. Take it to your Dodge dealer or to a mechanic you trust. Have them FLUSH and service the transmission. Thoroughly examine the filter for anything strange, metal filings, plastic pieces, etc. If it's determined that you need a rebuild or a replacement, and you have low mileage (less than 100,000 mi.) call the customer service number in the back of your owner's manual. Plead your case and they may work with you on a reduced cost for your repair. After that, follow the recommended transmission service schedule FAITHFULLY. Good Luck. And next time by a manual transmission. I love my Cummings diesel!!
