Your Jack Russell has only 1 testicle is he still able to mate?

He should be neutered if by the age of six months if he only has one testicle, as he could get cancer in the one that hasn't dropped. My Jack Russell has the same and that's what my vet told me.

Can testicles get twisted?
Yes and No. It is called testicular torsion. It is actually the spermatic cord that is twisted and this cuts of the blood supply to the testicle. If not corrected this can cause the testicle to die, then it has to be surgically removed. There are implants available for those who lose a testicle though, but just for looks, it won't be functional like a real testicle. The testicle itself cannot really twist, but the problem is still known as testicular torsion and many people think of it as a twisted testicle.
